Ferrari California spotted in the wild!!! (Photos)

Since Ferrari released media pics of the new Ferrari California, that is all we’ve had to base our opinion on whether or not this car looks good or bad. Yes there have been countless photoshop renderings circulating the internet, but truly the only way to know if you going to like a car is seeing it in person or in REAL LIVE shots!!! Well that wait is over, the guys over at Autoweek.nl have gotten their hands on several spy slash camo shots of the California ripping around town in Italy. It is still somewhat hard to tell what it will REALLY look like in person but it is better then nothing!

Pontiac mulls G8 GXP Coupe based on Holden concept

Last month Holden celebrated its 60th anniversary with the unveiling of the Coupe60 concept car, a two door version of the VE Commodore sedan that many suspect will eventually spawn a successor to Australia’s Monaro Coupe. Holden has denied rumors of a new Monaro, as well as its Pontiac GTO cousin for that matter, but a number of reports claim the Coupe60 is actually based on a former Pontiac design and that officials are now considering building the car.

Most of the engineering work is complete because under the Coupe60’s svelte sheet metal is Chevrolet Camaro running gear. According to Edmunds, Pontiac could add a production version of the Coupe60 to its lineup as a new G8 GXP Coupe flagship. The car could then go head-to-head with rivals like the new Dodge Challenger SRT8, Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR and even its Camaro SS cousin.

If given the green light, the source claims the car could be on the streets within three years. The only differences between it and the stunning concept would be a taller roofline, conventional B-pillar, and less aggressive styling both inside and out. It would also feature the same specifications as the new GXP, which means 19in wheels, FE3 sports suspension, a 400hp-plus V8 engine and an optional six-speed manual.

“The G8 Coupe is not dead,” said one source within the company. “This is an uphill battle. It shouldn’t be. But it is.”

The biggest stumbling block is the U.S. government’s new CAFE standards. Although carmakers won’t have to meet the 35mpg fleet-average fuel consumption rating until 2020, there’s no knowledge of what interim deadlines will be in place in the meantime.

Audi Drops Sketches Of A5 Cabrio, Sportback, A7 And Next-Gen A8 [New Audi A8]

Eschewing trite teaser images, Audi has instead given us some actual eye candy, providing official design sketches of four upcoming models: the A5 Cabrio and Sportback, the all-new 2010 A7 four-door coupe and the 2011 A8 sedan. While the A5 Cabrio looks pretty much like a topless A5 coupe, the A5 Sportback is unique for not looking at all like a traditional sportback model, instead bearing resemblance to notchbacks of yore. The A7 brings TT-esque styling to the burgeoning four-door coupe market, while the revised A8, at least in sketch form, looks just about tough as hell. Take a look for yourself in the gallery below.

Toyota continues to stick with its strategy of slowly releasing tiny teasers of the 2010 Toyota Prius through the good folks at PriusChat despite the fact that we've seen the full car. But whereas the previous teasers left us with questions, this latest photo answers a question Prius owners have had since the first model rolled off the assembly line: What the hell is up with the seats? Prius seats have until now lacked proper adjustments, something a technologically forward-leaning car like the Prius should be expected to have. We'll be sure to sit in them at the Detroit Auto Show in January and tell you what we think.
